A Message from the President
Hello, I would like to inform you of the opportunity to participate in the 3rd annual Law Enforcement Golf Challenge presented by the Hartford Police Union to honor retired and active law enforcement personnel.
We have provided a number of options for you, your company or your organization to participate or contribute in recognition of those who on a daily basis place themselves in harm's way. The event is being held at Rolling Meadows Golf Course in Ellington, Connecticut. This year as an added feature active member teams will compete for a law enforcement individual or a crime victim identified by themselves in need of financial assistance as the result of personal or family injury or illness. We are looking forward to a wonderful afternoon.
For non-golfers, I urge you to attend the post-tournament reception for the opportunity to mingle with your peers and supporters.

FORMAT: Four Person Modified Scramble- all members of the foursome tee off and the best shot is selected. All members then take a shot from within one club length (six inches for putts) of this spot in the same conditions and the best shot is again selected and the process is repeated until the ball is holed or maximum score is reached.
TEE SHOTS: Male competitors play from the WHITE tees; female competitors from the RED tees. Two tee shot minimum per player Hole monitors will be employed. Your scorecard should indicate whose tee shot is used on each hole.
ONE PUTT RULE: The one putt rule will be in effect, upon reaching the green, (you must be on the green, not the fringe) all members will be eligible to putt, if the putt is not made you will pick up and add one to your score. No further putts should be taken.
MAXIMUM SCORE: The maximum score you can record for each hole for this event is bogey. Be considerate of your fellow players, pick up and move on if you have reached this point.
DIVISIONS OF COMPETITION: There will be three divisions for this event, which division you compete in will be determined by the make-up of your foursome.
